Glenn Nolan will be the Keynote Speaker on Day 2 of CCMEC on Tuesday, November 5.
Glenn has spent his career involved in the areas of resource development, Indigenous relations and government issues. Early in his mining career, Glenn understood the importance of working closely and directly with Indigenous communities. He is committed to continuing the creation of greater partnership development between communities and the mineral industry. In 2001, Glenn changed his focus and was elected Chief of the Missanabie Cree First Nation and served for three consecutive terms. He is a past President of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and was the first Indigenous President in the organization’s history. He is a graduate of Sault College.
At CCMEC, Glenn will discuss the importance of building respectful and meaningful partnerships with First Nation communities, highlighting the collaboration between Missanabie Cree and the Renabie Mine as an example of successful partnership development between communities and the mineral industry.
