In 2017, there were almost 250 workplace fatalities due to falling objects (the most recent statistics available) in the United States, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Furthermore, OSHA estimates that over 52,000 “struck-by-a-falling object” incidents occur each year on construction sites alone. That is reported !!

Dropped objects, according to BLS data, are the third-leading cause of injuries on job sites and not only result in worker fatalities and injuries but damage to equipment, structure.
