New Gold Mine in Manitoba

MAMI congratulates its member, Alamos Gold, for moving ahead on a new gold mine near the town of Lynn Lake.

Alamos, along with the province of Manitoba and Mathias Colomb Cree Nation broke ground on March 25 to mark the beginning of construction of the mine.  

The project is expected to generate more than 600 jobs over the project’s two-year construction phase and sustain approximately 450 jobs during its operation, including training and hiring northern Manitobans.
