CCMEC Announces Major Sponsors

Major Sponsorship Announcement

Winnipeg – CCMEC is pleased to announce a number of significant partnerships for this year, including Hudbay Minerals as the inaugural supporter of the convention’s newly created, top-tier sponsorship level Au79Rush.

This contribution reflects Hudbay’s support for CCMEC as an essential gathering place for central Canada’s mining and mineral exploration sectors. By stepping up as the first to support this top tier, Hudbay joins a dedicated group of industry leaders supporting the convention, which also includes long-time supporters Vale in the newly created Cobalt level and Rodren Drilling at the Gold level.

“Hudbay is proud to be the top sponsor of CCMEC this year,” said Ashton Crone, Director of Health, Safety and Strategic Deployment at Hudbay.”With all the new exploration and activity in critical minerals right now, it’s an important time to keep driving that momentum forward. For us, this convention is always an excellent opportunity to connect with communities, local partners and strengthen our regional network.”

Named Au79Rush, a nod to gold’s atomic number and representing the highest standard of industry partnership, this custom level honours Hudbay’s nearly century-long mining heritage and deep commitment to the region.

“For CCMEC, Hudbay’s unprecedented sponsorship is more than a financial commitment,” shared Richard Trudeau, Convention Chair. “It is a vote of confidence in the convention’s growing influence and its role in bringing together industry leaders, Indigenous partners, governments, educators, suppliers and innovators to advance the future of mining and energy.”

With registration and trade show spaces filling up quickly (booths are already 70% sold), CCMEC continues to offer various sponsorship opportunities to help companies position themselves at the forefront of the industry. This is MAMI’s third year managing the convention, with record setting numbers for 2025 – more than 1,000 participants – and momentum is building for 2026.
