Hudbay Mineral’s Lalor Mine in the Snow Lake area is the site of the 63rd annual Manitoba Provincial Mine Rescue Competition.
The event , which Hudbay is generously sponsoring at the Captain level, is held every year to showcase the skills and competencies of an elite group of provincial mine personal, dedicated to making sure everyone makes it home safe in the event of a critical incidence.
The event runs May 8 & 9. Public events in Snow Lake include the firefighting competition at the New Britannia parking lot at 8:00 AM and the practical skills competition at the Wilfred T. Lipton Arena at 1:00 PM.
