Huge news coming out of Hudbay Minerals today. The company updated its Manitoba Snow Lake mine plan and boosted its gold production outlook.
Hudbay is extending the reserve mine life to 2043 and increasing projected average annual gold production to 185,000 ounces through 2030. The total life-of-mine gold production has risen 60% to 2.8 million ounces.
The company also highlighted further growth potential from resource conversion, exploration and the Britannia Gold Project.
Hudbay’s Snow Lake operations include the Lalor gold-copper-zinc mine, the New Britannia gold mill, the Stall base metals concentrator, the 1901 zinc-gold deposit, several satellite deposits and the former producing New Britannia gold mine currently on care and maintenance.
