CCMEC 2024 Hits Record Numbers

Winnipeg – The Central Canada Mineral Exploration Convention (CCMEC) attracted its largest number of participants this year with 800 sponsors, exhibitors and delegates attending the event November 4 and 5.

The trade show was expanded and ultimately sold-out with close to 145 exhibitors, over 45 sponsors made financial commitments to the convention and for the first time in CCMEC history it featured two Indigenous keynote speakers.

“It was an amazing two days as we hosted more exhibitors, more Indigenous presenters, and more big news being unveiled than we have ever seen in previous years,” said Stacy Kennedy, CCMEC Chair and MAMI President. “Congratulations to all our participants, including exhibitors, delegates, speakers and volunteers, plus a huge thank you to the MAMI team for an exceptional first year running the conference.”

Here’s what two long-time exhibitors had to say about their experience:

“What a great year at CCMEC,” said Daniel Card, Earthex Geophysics Solutions. “This is always our favourite show to attend for the exceptional exploration content and friendly faces.” Card added, “We can’t wait to attend next year.”

“CCMEC gives companies such as mine an opportunity to continue networking with peers in the mining industry and investigate upcoming projects, get updates on regulations and it keeps us relevant in the discussion,” shared Dustin Warelis with Canadian Dewatering. Warelis concluded, “Canadian Dewatering looks forward to attending each year as we get great value for our participation.”

CCMEC would like to thank all its sponsors, especially Vale Base Metals at the diamond level and funding partner PrairiesCan.  Sharing the gold level was Hudbay Minerals, the Province of Manitoba and Rodren Drilling.  As well, CCMEC sends kudos to all its suppliers and special presenters: All Nations Print, Artisan AV, EventCamp, Lynn & Liana Designs, Mother Earth Tobacco, Shipman & Associates Inc. Teekca’s Boutique, 6P Marketing, the Aboriginal School of Dance and the Mine Rescue Teams from Tanco and Vale.

CCMEC 2025 dates will be announced in the new year.
