Provincial Ministers meeting with MAMI's board

MAMI Meets Provincial Ministers

Provincial Ministers Moses, Moyes and Bushie connected with MAMI’s board at their Q1 meeting at the Manitoba legislative building on April 7, underscoring the importance of direct engagement between industry leadership and government decision-makers. The meeting served as a key forum to discuss both emerging opportunities and ongoing pressures facing Manitoba’s mining sector, reinforcing the value of strong collaboration at the highest levels.

“Open dialogue with the province is key for our industry, and the willingness of these Ministers to connect with our board is crucial as we move forward with both exciting developments, as well as addressing challenges,” said Stacy Kennedy, MAMI President. “By working together, we can ensure the mining industry’s roots in the province remain strong and we build long-term prosperity for Manitobans.”

The meeting with the Ministers was part of a series of events, which include MAMI’s annual industry Mix & Mingle reception in the Legislature’s rotunda.

The event provided valuable networking opportunities, bringing together MAMI members, industry representatives, MLAs, Ministers, and civil servants in an informal setting to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, and continue conversations initiated during the board meeting.
