QUESTION (Q): What makes Manitoba a great fit for your company?
ANSWER (A): Proximity to an abundance of natural resources that have started, being planned, or have a good chance of future development. Manitoba it just starting to realize their potential by both private and Indigenous partners.
Q: What’s something surprising people may not know about your company?
A: NRT is 71% Indigenous owned. Through a Manitoba based local partnership called Piwapisk Hauling, Piwapisk is 85% (!) Indigenous owned through nine northern Manitoba First Nation communities.
Q: Do you have any recent projects, innovations, or achievements you’re especially proud of?
A: Working on a wastewater recovery project at the reclaimed Ruttan mine site in Northern Manitoba. It was a very difficult season with the forest fires but everyone involved did such a great job
Q: What inspired you to join MAMI?
A: We are originally from Saskatchewan and thought joining MAMI would be a great opportunity to meet the mining community in Manitoba. It allows us to introduce ourselves to suppliers mining companies and everyone else that is working hard to develop the mining industry
